Frederick H. Businger, 88, of McClure, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Bowling Green Manor in Bowling Green, Ohio.
He was born on June 11, 1924 on a family farm in Weston, Ohio, to the late Jacob and Florence (Holzhauer) Businger. In his younger years, Fred played the baritone horn and became part of the Weston area community band. While in community band he met Evelyn M. Kramer, a trombone player, from McClure, Ohio. On April 5, 1947, Fred and Evelyn married and subsequently raised a family while farming in McClure.
In W.W.II Fred was a Tech Sergeant in the United States Army Air Force. He proudly served his country in the Communication Squadron as a telegraph and radio operator in the China, Berma and India (CBI) theater. He transmitted and received encrypted messages for the armed forces and Allies.
