It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Sarah M. English, 73, on July 22, 2012. Sarah was born in her parent’s home on August 31, 1938. She was the youngest child of Elmer and Lillian (Mercer) Schaller, both deceased.
Sarah graduated from Perrysburg High School in 1956 and married her childhood sweetheart, Charlie English, on April 20, 1957. Together they had 4 children, Phyllis, Patty, Marcie, and Richard. Sarah worked as a secretary for her father-in-law for several years and also for the Rossford Schools Transportation Department for over 30 years. She was an EMT for Perrysburg Township for over 10 years and also a seasonal employee at Britten Turkey Farm many years ago. Sarah was a charter member of Perrysburg Township Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
Sarah enjoyed traveling to see family, especially in Pennsylvania and Texas, playing Bingo, and family gatherings – both planned and spontaneous. She attended Grace United Methodist Church, Perrysburg for over 34 years.
