Velma (Crawford) Mercer, 87, of Bowling Green, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 2, 2012.
She was born to Clarence and Elizabeth (Fry) Crawford on November 9, 1924 in Bloom Township, Wood County.
She retired as secretary of Cygnet and Elmwood Schools and also had worked at Bowling Green State University and for the Wood County Clerk of Courts.
Velma married Harold “Fog” Mercer on May 4, 1947 and he survives. Also surviving are two daughters: Sue (Denny) Knauss of Bowling Green, Carol (Ken) Sander of Port Clinton, five grandchildren: Kelly, Josh, Neil, Zak and Ashlee; eight great-grandchildren: Logan, Oaklee, Kylee, Lia, Addie, Tyler, Luca and Eli., brothers: Boyd and Ray Crawford, both of Bowling Green.
She was preceded in death by brothers: Glenn, Merle and Earl.
