george-wallace-obitGeorge W. Wallace, 75, of Burgoon, Ohio, passed away, Friday evening, January 4, 2013 at the Countryside Continuing Care Center in Fremont.
He was born on April 15, 1937 in Scotch Ridge, OH to the now deceased Ralph and Marguerite (March) Wallace.
After graduating from Webster High School, he obtained his bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University, majoring in Animal Science and Agricultural Education and a member of the Delta Theta Sigma Fraternity.
After college he joined and served six years with the Ohio National Guard, Buckeye Division. He later worked for the United States’ Farm Service Agency in Columbus. George will most be remembered having taught Vocational Agriculture at Gibsonburg High School, Vanguard Vocational School and at Wauseon High School.
George was a member of the Burgoon United Methodist Church, the Ohio and Sandusky County Farm Bureau, the Ohio and Sandusky County Farmers Union, the Sandusky County and Ohio Cattlemen’s Associations, the American, Ohio and Black Swamp Angus Associations, the Lakota Young Farmers, the Ohio Vocational Agricultural Teachers Association and the Ohio Teachers Association.
